Pilgrims Handle Love Boats, 2-1
The Providence Pilgrims topped the Lake Minnetonka Love Boats, 2-1, in USSL Double A action at Field of Plenty. The game was highlighted by the performance of Providence pitcher José Rivera. Rivera got the win, improving to 3-1. He allowed 3 hits and walked 6 over 6.2 innings. Rivera allowed 1 run. With the win over Lake Minnetonka, the Pilgrims improved to 12-12.

The Pilgrims got a big boost from center fielder Clinton Dotson who had a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the bottom of the fourth inning off Love Boats hurler Felipe Bilderbeek. It was his 6th RBI of the season and put Providence on top, 2-1.

"Every loss stings," said Lake Minnetonka manager William Smith. "This one is no exception."
