Highlanders Suffer 4-3 Home Loss
|
Billings beat Asheville at Asheville Park, eking out a 4-3 win. The win was due in large part to designated hitter Roberto Xochicale. He went 2-3 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 and driving in 2. Earning his 3rd save for Billings was Cole Dawes. The Highlanders fall to 6-9.
Héctor Mata was a prime contributor to the Billings win. He went 1 for 4. In the top of the sixth with one out, the 23-year old left fielder hit a run-scoring single. It made the score 3-1, in favor of the Polar Bears.
"You've got to ride the highs and the lows in baseball in order to succeed," Xochicale told the Billings Bulletin. "Right now I'm feeling good, but that don't mean squat for tomorrow."
