Lake Minnetonka Love Boats starter Iván Cruz pitched a strong game against the Billings Polar Bears at The Igloo, leading the Love Boats to victory, 5-3. With the loss, Billings drops to 4-6.
Lake Minnetonka used a well-timed hit by Doug Miller to capture the win. The center fielder socked a bases-clearing double in the top of the third inning to put the Love Boats ahead, 4-1. Though it was his only hit in 2 at-bats, it was important.
"I liked his command," said Lake Minnetonka manager William Smith. "Iván was throwing strikes."
