Pablo Gonzáles was masterful in helping the Minnesota Loons take down the Tacoma Fur Traders, 4-1. Michael Kilshaw locked down his 8th save. With the victory, the Loons record now stands at 54-32.

The Fur Traders had been locked in a 0-0 tie with the Loons going into the bottom of the second inning. That changed quickly when the 26-year old third baseman Antoine Mercier came to the plate. Mercier hit a 2-run home run on a full count cutter from Tacoma hurler Mao-you Zhen. It was Mercier's 11th home run of the year.

Mercier called the win the result of "everyone working in tandem."
