Lancaster Tops Marquette, 4-0
|
The Lancaster Farmers got a stellar performance from pitcher Ramón Pacheco, who handcuffed the Marquette offense en route to a win, 4-0, at Marquette Stadium. At 47-38, the Farmers are currently 5th in the Menard's AA.
Lancaster relied on the hitting of Richard Ramírez to pick up the win. The right fielder clubbed a solo home run in the top of the fourth inning to put the Farmers on top, 1-0. For the game, Ramírez had 1 home run and 2 singles in 4 at-bats.
In comments to the Lancaster Herald, Pacheco admitted he's been told to improve his work habits. "But," he said, "I know when to take it to another gear."
