Eclipse Go 10 Innings to Beat Westwood, 3-1
|
Northville got a first-rate effort from pitcher Juan Ramírez, who frustrated Westwood hitters en route to a 3-1 Eclipse triumph at Sixshooters Stadium. The winner in relief was José González. The left-hander allowed 1 run on 3 hits in 3 innings. He now owns a record of 5-0. At 44-31, the Eclipse are currently 4th in the Menard's AA.
Northville used the clutch hitting of Scott Willis to snag the win. The designated hitter drilled a 2-run home run in the top of the tenth inning to put the Eclipse ahead, 3-1. It was his lone hit in 2 at-bats, but it was a crucial one.
"It was terrific getting this win," Willis said. "We put in a lot of work to do it."
