Eclipse Squelch Rails Offense in Shutout Win
|
The performance of Paolo Roelands proved critical in helping Northville beat Richland, 6-0. The Eclipse first baseman went 3-3 with a home run, 2 singles, and was hit by a pitch, while scoring 2 times. The win gives Northville a season record of 40-27.
The Eclipse got a big at-bat from designated hitter Ming Que. For the game, Que was 1-3 with a home run and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the fourth, with runners on 2nd and 3rd, he stroked a 3-run home run. His 4th home run of the season gave Northville a 3-0 lead.
"I felt we were ready to go," said Northville manager Pedro Ángel. "Our pregame was pretty good."
