Fur Traders Beat Rails, 3-2
|
Jorge Zapata could take little solace in pitching a good game. The fact is his Richland Rails lost, dropping a 3-2 decision to the Tacoma Fur Traders at Ballpark of Tacoma. The save was credited to Juan Gutiérrez, his 9th. Tacoma has a record of 17-30, placing them 11th in the Menard's AA.
Making an impact for the home team was Rodney Hutchinson. In the bottom of the seventh, the 25-year old third baseman had a run-scoring sacrifice fly. That made the score 3-1, Fur Traders.
"I'll probably toss and turn tonight," Richland manager George Sperber said following the tough loss.
