The Toledo Saboteurs faced a tough opponent in Arizona pitcher Daan Eland, but did just enough to pull out the victory at Javelina Ballpark by a final score of 5-3. Eland went 6 innings and allowed 3 runs. Dale Bailey picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 1-2. Clancy Wood was tagged with the loss. Earning his 1st save for Toledo was Miguel Ortíz.

Mark Newton went 1 for 4 for Toledo. The 27-year old shortstop had a key at-bat in the top of the tenth. With no one out and runners on 2nd and 3rd, he broke a 3-3 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Clancy Wood. It was his 21st RBI of the season.
