|
Lancaster beat Toledo on the strength of starter Martin Allen's fine effort. The right-hander led his team to a win, 3-1. Allen got the win, improving to 4-0. He allowed 2 hits and walked 2 over 6.1 innings. Allen allowed 1 run. Dan Kent got the save, the 5th for him this season.
In the bottom of the first, Richard Ramírez hit a 2-run home run. The 8th home run of the season for the Lancaster right fielder put the Farmers on top, 2-0.
"We'll put this win in our pocket and go after the next one," said Allen.
The Farmers bumped their record to 22-12 with this win.
