Kingfishers Sneak Past White Walkers, 4-3
|
Pittsburgh third baseman Yeow-whye Zhu made his presence felt in the 4-3 Kingfishers triumph over the Buffalo White Walkers. Zhu went 1 for 3 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Cipriano Rosas, 4-1, earned the win in relief. He allowed no runs on no hits in 2 innings. The loss makes Buffalo 43-28.
The game came to a dramatic end. In the bottom of the ninth, with Pittsburgh trailing 3-1, Zhu hit a fastball from Mario Rosales for a 3-run home run, giving the Kingfishers the walk-off win.
"It was a solid team effort," said Zhu after the game.
