Nuevo Mexico relied on the bat of Elton Archer to get the win. The shortstop ripped a run-scoring double in the top of the sixth inning to put the Mariachis ahead, 4-2. For the game, Archer had 1 double and 1 home run in 4 at-bats.

"I'll probably toss and turn tonight," Marquette manager Jeremy Dennis said following the tough loss.
