|
Led by Obke Veenman, the New Orleans Voodoo downed the Baltimore Bullets, 4-0. Veenman was 3-4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2 for the Voodoo. Santiago Proximo got the win, improving to 1-0. He worked 5.1 innings, giving up no runs on 3 hits, while striking out 6 and walking 4. The last-place Bullets have lost 5 consecutive games.
Pedro Ramos had a critical at-bat with two out in the top of the sixth for New Orleans. He came through with a run-scoring single to put New Orleans in front, 2-0.
"We can always improve and get better, but we're feeling confident after that win," said Ramos.
