Bowties Fall Short, 2-1, at Kingston Township
|
Kingston Township starter Nick Long had a strong outing against the Buckhead Bowties at Cloverdale Legion Park. The left-hander was a big part of his team's 2-1 win. The 9th-place Knights sport a record of 43-61.
Ed Reese drove in one run for Kingston Township. The 31-year old center fielder had a key at-bat in the bottom of the second. With no one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 0-0 tie with a run-scoring ground out off Elias Visscher. It was his 9th RBI of the season.
"I'll probably toss and turn tonight," Buckhead manager Kerry Hofmeister said following the tough loss.
