Battery Hand Divided 4-2 Loss
|
In the 4-2 Charleston win over D.C., the impact of Julian Lemur was substantial. Lemur, who finished 4th in the 3L in home runs with 30 in 2046, was 2 for 4 with 2 home runs. Everett Pratt got the win, improving to 4-3. He pitched 6 innings, giving up 6 hits and 2 runs, while striking out 5 and walking 0. With the victory, the Battery upped their record to 60-44.
Charleston used the timely hitting of Allan Selkirk to seize the win. The catcher stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the seventh inning to put the Battery on top, 3-2. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Lemur told the Charleston Observer.
