The Nova Scotia Leviathan knocked off the Toledo Stingers, 6-5, at The Dungeon in Halifax. Gareth Kvernoey was a big reason Nova Scotia won. The first baseman went 4 for 5 with 2 doubles and 2 singles. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. The Leviathan sport a record of 38-59.

The game was still up for grabs in the bottom of the ninth. With no one out, Kvernoey hit a curveball from Richello Dosono for a run-scoring single. The Leviathan, in dramatic fashion, had a walk-off win.
