Vancouver Grey Wolves starter Joe Wagner turned in a top-notch performance against the Nova Scotia Leviathan at Wolf Den in Vancouver. The result was a win for the Grey Wolves, 8-1. The first-place Grey Wolves have won 4 in a row.
In the bottom of the sixth, Vancouver left fielder Sonny Day had a productive at-bat. With runners on 2nd and 3rd and two out, Day stroked a 2-run single to center. It made the score 3-0, Vancouver. For the game, he went 1-3, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.
"If you pitch well, you give yourself some opportunities," said Vancouver manager David Krause.
