The Santa Catalina Condor got a stellar effort from pitcher Billy Ramsey, helping Santa Catalina score a win over the visiting Toledo Stingers, 4-2. Ramsey picked up the win for Santa Catalina, going 7.1 innings. He gave up 2 runs on 10 hits. He now sports a record of 5-10. George King earned the save, his 24th, for the Condor.
The Condor grabbed the lead in the bottom of the first. With one out, Jim Hanson, who is tied for 10th in the 3L in bases on balls with 44, hit a 2-run home run off Joaquín Herrera, putting Santa Catalina in front, 3-0. For Hanson, it was his 19th home run of the season.
"Billy was throwing strikes, locating well," said Santa Catalina manager Rose Rubo.
Santa Catalina's record now stands at 50-40, placing them 5th in the Third League.
