Big Day for Macías in 11-4 Elite Win
The home crowd had a good time watching the Thunder Bay Northern Lions BC and Detroit Elite get after it.

The Detroit Elite downed the Thunder Bay Northern Lions BC, 11-4, at Detroit Stadium. Carlos Macías led the way, going 4-for-4 for Detroit. José Martínez picked up the win, improving his season record to 12-2. He struck out 10 in 8 innings.

Detroit took a 7-3 lead on Rob Robinson's 14th double of the season. The bases-clearing double, which Robinson hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Thunder Bay pitcher Javier Gallardo shaking his head.

"We'll relax tonight and get back after it tomorrow," Macías said after the game.

With the win, Detroit upped its record to 45-43.
