Oaks Pull Back to .500 With Win Over 84s
|
The Greenville 84s went down to defeat to Cornell Rogers and his Oakland teammates. The final score was 5-2 in favor of the Oaks. The winning pitcher was Rogers, now 3-1. He tossed 5.2 innings of 5-hit ball, while walking 2 and fanning 5. Terry Lesage nailed down his 19th save.
Guan-cai Khoo put Oakland in front, 3-0, when he hit a 2-run home run off Brian Boggs in the top of the fourth. It was his 3rd home run of the season.
"We'll put that win in the can," said Khoo, "and go after the next one."
The Oaks now have a record of 33-33.
