Northern Lions BC Suffer 6-4 Setback
|
Great Northern Field was the site for Menard's Third League action featuring the Thunder Bay Northern Lions BC and Buckhead Bowties.
Bowties second baseman Cheong-hun Park put his stamp on his team's 6-4 win over the Thunder Bay Northern Lions BC. Park was 4 for 4 with 4 singles and a walk, while scoring 2 runs for Buckhead in the contest. Matt Howe picked up the save for Buckhead, his 1st of the year.
Buckhead needed the clutch hitting of Tony Fulton to notch the win. The left fielder hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the eighth inning to put the Bowties on top, 6-4. For the game, Fulton had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
"We'll kick back tonight and enjoy this win," said Fulton.
The Bowties are now 29-48, while the Northern Lions BC fall to 26-51.
