Grey Wolves Earn 7-2 Win Against Bowties
|
Wayne Jackson made an impact in the 7-2 Vancouver win over Buckhead. Jackson, who leads the 3L in RBI with 41, went 2 for 5 with 2 home runs, while adding 5 RBI and scoring twice. Vancouver reliever Andy Harvey picked up the win, upping his record to 3-0. Uhi Ahipene shouldered the loss. The Third League-leading Grey Wolves have a record of 35-15.
Vancouver used the timely hitting of Gerald Riley to capture the win. The first baseman stroked a 2-run double in the top of the 18th inning to put the Grey Wolves on top, 4-2. It was his only hit in 7 at-bats, but he made it count.
In postgame remarks, Riley simply said: "Here's to a great win!"
