Knights Topple Leviathan, 4-2

The Kingston Township Knights topped the Nova Scotia Leviathan, 4-2, in Menard's Third League action at Cloverdale Legion Park. The game was highlighted by the performance of Kingston Township pitcher Nick Long. Long, now 3-4, was the winner. In 7 innings, he gave up 11 hits, while striking out 4, walking 2, and allowing 2 runs. The Knights sport a record of 15-34.
Jason Longoria, who finished 4th in the 3L in slugging percentage with .569 in 2049, aided the Kingston Township cause with a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the bottom of the second. For the game, the center fielder drove in one run.
"We'll savor this win," Long told the Kingston Township Observer, "then get ready for the next game."
