Dirty Reds Best Patriots in Pitching Duel

The San Mateo Dirty Reds picked up a win at Dunkin Donuts Park, courtesy of Peer Slooters. The right-hander helped his team stop the Boston Patriots, 2-1. Slooters picked up the win for San Mateo, going 8 innings. He gave up 1 run on 9 hits. He now sports a record of 2-0. San Mateo goes to 3-4.
Ronald Dacanay, the 28-year old first baseman , had a direct impact on the outcome. Dacanay contributed a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the seventh inning to put San Mateo up, 2-1.
"Win or lose, we pick each other up in this clubhouse," Dacanay told the San Mateo Gazette.
