The Kingston Township Knights defeated the Thunder Bay Northern Lions BC, 5-2, in Menard's Third League action at Great Northern Field. Kingston Township pitcher Vernon Álvarez had a standout performance. Álvarez went 6.1 innings to notch the win. He scattered 6 hits, walked 1, and struck out 7. His record improves to 1-1. George Atwater collected save number 6.
Kingston Township used the clutch hitting of Rashid Qutaybah to capture the win. The right fielder drilled a run-scoring double in the top of the sixth inning to give the Knights the lead, 2-1. For the game, Qutaybah had 3 singles and 1 double in 4 at-bats.
