The Tortolita Drummers defeated the Sacramento Redlegs, 5-4, in USSL Triple A action at Drummers Ballpark. Tortolita pitcher Khoury Abdul-Rahim had a standout performance. Tortolita reliever Tony Correa picked up the win, upping his record to 1-1. Jody Lewis took the loss. The 6th-place Drummers have won 5 straight.

In the bottom of the eighth, Tortolita third baseman Soshal Distan Singh stroked a run-scoring single to center field. The clutch hit put the Drummers in front, 5-4.

"In baseball, you have your ups and downs," said Sacramento manager John Brown. "You just try to stay level-headed the whole time."
