Pride Top Flyers in Extras, 2-1
|
It was pandemonium at Pride Park after an exciting walk-off win.
The Pennsauken Flyers got a sterling performance from pitcher Daron Gallagher, but the Hartford Pride still prevailed, 2-1. Gallagher threw 5.0 innings of 4-hit ball. The winner in relief was Jeremy Bearimy. The right-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit in 2 innings. He now owns a record of 2-4.
The Pride procured the win, in large part because of pinch hitter Yukinaga Hakui. In the bottom of the tenth, he produced the game-winning run-scoring single.
"I'll probably toss and turn tonight," Pennsauken manager Mike Preston said following the tough loss.
With the win, Hartford upped its record to 54-43.
