Marlins Take Down Golden Cranes, 2-1
|
Fans who congregated at League Park were treated to extra-inning drama.
Ft. Myers beat Santa Barbara on the strength of starter Rob Anderson's fine effort. The right-hander led his team to a win, 2-1. The Marlins move to 41-56 with the win, while the Golden Cranes drop to 44-53.
The Marlins relied on first baseman Connor Dunne for the game-winning hit. And, in the bottom of the 11th, he delivered, hitting a run-scoring double to seal the deal.
"It was a solid team effort," said Anderson after the game.
