Golden Cranes Deal Pride 3-1 Loss
|
Pride Park was the site of a tense game between the Hartford Pride and Santa Barbara Golden Cranes.
In a low-scoring affair between the Santa Barbara Golden Cranes and the Hartford Pride, pitcher Don Beales was the difference between victory and defeat. The Santa Barbara right-hander earned accolades in the 3-1 Golden Cranes win. In 6 innings, Beales surrendered 6 hits, while striking out 4 and walking 2. He allowed 1 run.
The Golden Cranes got a big at-bat from first baseman José Téllez. For the game, Téllez went 1-3 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. In the top of the first, with a runner on 2nd, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 1st home run of the season gave Santa Barbara a 2-0 lead.
"We'll hit the hot tub in good spirits tonight," said Téllez.
