Sacramento got a strong outing from Gunnar Quinn as the Redlegs defeated the Ft. Myers Marlins, 4-1, at League Park. Quinn picked up the win for Sacramento, going 5 innings. He gave up 1 run on 7 hits. He now sports a record of 4-9. The save went to Félix Hernández, number 17 for him.
Sacramento used a well-timed hit by Edward Panther to capture the win. The catcher socked a run-scoring double in the top of the fourth inning to put the Redlegs ahead, 2-1. Though it was his only hit in 4 at-bats, it was important.
"We played hard and won," said Quinn. "Sometimes, baseball really is that easy.'
Sacramento now sits in 9th place in the Silver AAA at 28-46.
