Drummers Knock Off Golden Cranes at Drummers Ballpark

The Tortolita Drummers got a stellar effort from pitcher Gilberto Ruíz, helping Tortolita score a win over the visiting Santa Barbara Golden Cranes, 6-1. Tortolita reliever Gilberto Ruíz got the win, raising his record to 1-0. Tim Waters was tagged with the loss. Tortolita has a record of 30-37, placing them 7th in the Silver AAA.
The Drummers picked up the win with a combination of good hitting and good pitching.
"We played hard and won," said Ruíz. "Sometimes, baseball really is that easy.'
