Despite a fine performance by first baseman Zhong-yi Yun, the Boston Patriots lost to the San Mateo Dirty Reds, 13-6. Yun was 3-3 with a double, 2 singles, and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. With the win over Boston, the Dirty Reds improved to 21-35.

The Dirty Reds grabbed the lead in the bottom of the fifth. With two out, Matsusuke Saikawa hit a grand slam home run off Victor Jones, putting San Mateo in front, 13-2. For Saikawa, it was his 8th home run of the season.

"Getting a lot of baserunners and getting some timely hits, it's a good combination," said Saikawa.
