The Hartford Pride had to overcome a big game from Sacramento pinch hitter Joaquín Díaz to leave Pride Park with a victory. And they did, winning 6-5. Díaz was 1-1 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Michael Ramsey earned the win after being summoned from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed 1 run on 1 hit in 1.2 innings. His record is now 5-3. The triumph puts Hartford at 33-26 for the season.

Had Colton Donnelly not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and a runner on 3rd, Donnelly hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 6-5, in favor of the Pride.

Donnelly called the triumph "a good team win."
