Squirrel Monkeys Get Past Tortolita for 4-3 Win
The Syracuse Squirrel Monkeys beat the Tortolita Drummers, 4-3. Syracuse pitcher and Guatajiagua, El Salvador, native Korbin Dallas led the way. The winning pitcher was Dallas, now 4-3. He tossed 8 innings of 4-hit ball, while walking 3 and fanning 12. Bryce Poindexter picked up the save for Syracuse, his 12th of the year.

Syracuse got the win thanks to a clutch hit from Chae-pong Yi. The catcher stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the ninth inning to put the Squirrel Monkeys ahead, 4-3. Though it was his only hit in 4 at-bats, it had a major impact on the outcome.

"I'll probably toss and turn tonight," Tortolita manager Marcos Costa said following the tough loss.

This win makes it 5 in a row for Syracuse.
