Flyers Hand Red Pandas 4-1 Loss
|
Getting an impressive start from Claudio Cortés, Pennsauken beat Sioux Falls by the score of 4-1. Cortés went 6.2 innings to notch the win. He scattered 3 hits, walked 2, and struck out 3. His record improves to 3-4. Fernando Marín collected save number 1.
Pennsauken used a timely hit from Yoshikazu Hashimoto to get the win. The first baseman delivered a 2-run triple in the top of the seventh inning to put the Flyers on top, 4-1. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"Claudio is tough when he's hitting his spots," said Pennsauken manager Mike Preston.
Pennsauken is now riding a 6-game win streak.
