Santa Barbara Golden Cranes starter Don Beales pitched his team past the Sacramento Redlegs, 4-2. Beales, now 2-5, was the winner. In 6.1 innings, he gave up 5 hits, while striking out 1, walking 4, and allowing 2 runs. Edgar Pérez was called on to finish, recording his 1st save.

Jeff Roest was 2 for 4 with a double for Santa Barbara. The 25-year old third baseman had a key at-bat in the bottom of the sixth. With one out and runners on 1st and 3rd, he broke a 2-2 tie with a run-scoring ground out off Bob Daniel. It was his 9th RBI of the season.
