Syracuse left fielder Martín Pliego had a good game, even if his team did not. The Squirrel Monkeys dropped a 7-6 decision to Hartford at The Zoo in Syracuse. Pliego was 3-5 with 3 singles, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Michael Ramsey earned the win after being called from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 1.2 innings. He upped his record to 3-1. The win elevated the Pride to 21-20.

Hartford used the timely hitting of Colton Donnelly to seize the win. The second baseman stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the 12th inning to put the Pride on top, 7-6. It was his only hit in 2 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"There's no quit in this team," said Pride manager Terry King.
