Thrilling Victory Pushes Redlegs Win Streak to 5
|
The Sacramento Redlegs beat the Pennsauken Flyers, 6-5, at Pennsauken Park. The win was due in part to designated hitter Joaquín Díaz, who was 3 for 4 with 3 singles and a walk, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2. This win makes it 5 in a row for Sacramento.
Sacramento used the clutch hitting of Dong-su Yun to snag the win. The pinch hitter drilled a 2-run home run in the top of the ninth inning to put the Redlegs ahead, 6-4. It was his lone hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a crucial one.
"As well as we've been playing, I think we can play even better," said Sacramento manager John Brown.
