Austin got a big-time effort from pitcher Edemona Babitu, but it wasn't enough to keep the Sacramento Redlegs from winning the game, 4-3. Babitu threw 8.0 innings of shutout ball for the losing team. The 8th-place Redlegs lifted their record to 15-21.

The game ended with a bang. In the bottom of the ninth, with Sacramento trailing 3-1, Yamato Sato jumped on a 0-1 cutter from Eric Ramírez for a 3-run home run, sending the Redlegs to a walk-off win.

"You get some opportunities, you better take advantage of them," said Austin manager Tony Torres.
