Flyers Deal Golden Cranes 3-1 Defeat
|
In a low-scoring game between Pennsauken and Santa Barbara, pitcher Bob Hickey was excellent. The Pennsauken right-hander helped his team knock off the Golden Cranes, 3-1. Their 20-15 record puts the Flyers third in the Silver AAA.
The result might have been different for Pennsauken, had it not been for Antti-Jussi Sulander, the 23-year old right fielder . Sulander stroked a run-scoring walk in the top of the seventh inning to put Pennsauken up, 3-1. For the game, he had 1 double and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
"This team is real focused right now," said Pennsauken manager Mike Preston.
