The Hartford Pride topped the Austin Black Mambas, 8-2, in USSL Triple A action at Mamba Park. The standout performance belonged to Hartford pitcher and Sandy Springs, Georgia, native Matthew Rentería. Rentería got the win, improving to 2-1. He allowed 4 hits and walked 1 over 6.1 innings. Rentería allowed 2 runs. The 5th-place Pride go to 17-16.

Helping the Hartford cause was Guonçalle Sprengel. In the top of the fifth, the 29-year old shortstop had a run-scoring walk to make the score 4-2, Pride.
