2-1 Loss Extends Sacramento Skid
|
The Sacramento Redlegs wasted an impressive 7.1-inning effort from starter Ismael Mena, falling 2-1 to the Milton Dogfish Head at Sacramento Sanitation Station. Min Der closed the door for Milton, picking up his 9th save of the year. The losing streak for Sacramento has now reached 6 games.
In the top of the sixth, Milton designated hitter Kelvin van Enk put his team on top. With two out and a runner on 3rd, he hit his 2nd home run of the year. Sacramento pitcher Ismael Mena served it up. Just like that, the Dogfish Head were ahead, 2-1.
"The want-to is there for our guys," said Sacramento manager John Brown. "We'll get this thing turned around."
