Marx Lieftink never let Austin get something going. The Sioux Falls right-hander commanded his fastball in pitching the Red Pandas to a 5-1 win. Lieftink, now 4-1, was the winner. In 5 innings, he gave up 3 hits, while striking out 4, walking 2, and allowing 1 run. Sioux Falls, at 15-9, occupies second place in the Silver AAA.

Kelvin Nolan came through for Sioux Falls when he hit a run-scoring triple in the bottom of the fifth. With a runner on 1st, he hit a two-strike fastball to left field, staking his team to a 2-1 lead.
