Redlegs Fall to Pride, 3-0
|
Hartford got a first-rate effort from pitcher Roger Raper, who frustrated Sacramento hitters en route to a 3-0 Pride triumph at Sacramento Sanitation Station. Raper, now 1-2, was the winner. In 6 innings, he gave up 2 hits, while striking out 6, walking 2, and allowing no runs. The Pride, at 8-13, sit in 9th place in the Silver AAA.
The Pride got a lift from catcher Bob Giles, who in the top of the second hit a run-scoring double. His 3rd double of the season put the Pride on top, 2-0.
"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Raper told the Hartford Chronicle.
