Sacramento got a first-rate effort from pitcher Gunnar Quinn, who frustrated Hartford hitters en route to a 3-1 Redlegs triumph at Sacramento Sanitation Station. In 6.2 innings, Quinn surrendered 4 hits, while striking out 7 and walking 1. He allowed 1 run. Félix Hernández was credited with the save for Sacramento, his 9th of the season.

Theo Belcher took Wessel de Best deep in the bottom of the first. His 2-run home run put the Redlegs on top, 2-1. In all, Belcher had 2 singles in addition to the home run, while going 3 for 4.

"This was a tough loss," said Hartford manager Terry King. "It'll stick in my craw for a while."

With the win, Sacramento elevates its record to 11-9.
