Right-hander Steve Gourin mesmerized the Hartford Pride while leading the Syracuse Squirrel Monkeys to a 4-0 victory. Ronald Love sewed up the save, his 1st. The Pride fall to 5-11 and continue their uninspiring start to the 2052 season.

Syracuse relied on the hitting of Roberto Berganza to pick up the win. The third baseman clubbed a 2-run home run in the top of the eighth inning to put the Squirrel Monkeys on top, 3-0. For the game, Berganza had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.

"We'll pop the top on a cold beverage and get back to work tomorrow," Berganza said.
