Voodoo Beat Kingfishers, 3-2
|
New Orleans right-hander Alfonso Caballero helped his team edge Pittsburgh by the score of 3-2. Caballero kept the opposing lineup in check. The winner in relief was Herman Stone. He is now 1-1. The left-hander allowed 1 run on 2 hits in 1.2 innings. The Voodoo improve their record to 31-19 with the win over Pittsburgh.
New Orleans used a timely hit from Anthony Roosemont to get the win. The center fielder stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the ninth inning to put the Voodoo ahead, 3-2. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it made an impact.
Roosemont attributed the win to "a well-rounded effort by the whole team."
