Dogfish Head Pull Off Thrilling 8-7 Win in Extras
|
Jung-jun Sang was a major factor in the 8-7 Milton win over Hartford. The Dogfish Head designated hitter went 4 for 7 with 4 singles and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Milton reliever Willard Wilhelm picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Emílio González was saddled with the loss. The loss drops Hartford to 2-2.
The Dogfish Head relied on catcher Ivano Pohvisnev for the game-winning hit. And, in the bottom of the 16th, he delivered, hitting a run-scoring double to seal the deal.
"We battled our tails off to get this win," said Milton manager Gonzalo Velásquez.
