4-2 Reserves Win over Rainbeaus Evens Season Record
|
The Athletic Club KC Reserves topped the Kansas Rainbeaus, 4-2, in USPL Triple A action at Wichita Field. The game was highlighted by the performance of Athletic Club KC pitcher Robert O'Reilly. The Reserves, at 43-43, sit in 5th place in the Premier AAA.
Leon Burns had a clutch at-bat with two out in the top of the sixth for the Reserves. Coming up with runners on 2nd and 3rd and Athletic Club KC trailing 2-1, he hit a 2-run single.
Kansas manager Chan-koo Kim said he was "mildly disappointed" with the loss. "We had our opportunities, but we didn't take advantage of them," he said.
