The Syracuse Starks defeated the Hialeah Dodos, 8-2, in USPL Triple A action at Stark Stadium. Silvio Capitanio pulled his weight. The 5-year veteran hit 2 home runs, while adding 5 RBI and scoring twice. Bryant Clark got the win, improving to 6-7. He worked 7.1 innings, giving up no runs on 4 hits, while striking out 6 and walking 1. The Starks' win now puts them at 33-45.

With Syracuse leading 3-0 in the bottom of the sixth, Capitanio hit a fastball from Jesús Ríos for a 3-run home run. It was his 8th home run of the season and put the Starks ahead, 6-0.
